Cost - Free
This is your basic Best Buy account and the only real benefit here is you get free shipping. The return and exchange window is 15 days
My Best Buy Plus
Cost - $49.99 a year
This is the lowest paid membership which gets you exclusive deals, exclusive access to certain products, shipping upgraded to 2 day shipping with no minimum purchase, and an extended return and exchange window that is now 60 days over the standard return window. In the past, some deals that this tier has offered has been 15% off gaming gift cards and buy 2, get 1 free on Switch games. Be on the lookout for deals like this to be offered.
My Best Buy Total
Cost - $179.99 a year
This gets you everything from the Plus tier plus 24/7/365 Geek Squad support, VIP access to custom service, AppleCare+ protection on Apple devices, and 20% off repairs.
Shipping Policy:
Best Buy earlier this year changed it so that almost all purchases qualify for free shipping with no minimum purchase amount.
Holiday Return Policy:
Purchases made from 11/1 through 12/31 have an extended return window and can be returned through Jan 14, 2025.
Holiday Price Matching:
Best Buy will price match purchases made between 11/1 through 12/31 with the exception on purchases made between 11/28 through 12/2 which is from Thanksgiving through Cyber Monday. From the wording, that their price match policy applies to only if Best Buy's prices are lower and not other retailers. Other retailers in the past have had two different price match policies which differentiates price matching their own prices and other retailers during the holidays. Best Buy's normal price match policy is specific retailers during the return and exchange window. So it's currently unclear how their price match policy will hold up against other retailers. But knowing that you can just return during this window should keep your ability to buy at the lowest price during the holidays.
